Spring 2012 Lilly Pulitzer shoes and accessories

Yesterday I posted the clothing from Lilly Pulitzer spring that I am lusting after so today I am posting the shoes and accessories.

Lilly Pulitzer McKim High Wedge.  I love McKims and I have the wedges and love them too but they are a weird height that is not quite dressy enough, I think these would be a great addition to my shoe shelf.  However, they are $178 so I may wait till they are on sale.

As you may recall I wore the white wedge version of these in my wedding.  These are the Set in Stone sandals in navy.  Super cute- $228. :(

Picture Perfect Espadrille. $218.  These are so classic- probably a better deal than the others since you could get so much more wear out of them

Opening Night Clutch, $88.  I would never actually use this but I think it would be so cute with the Mimosa skirt that I showed yesterday!

Carded ID Wallet in Mariposa.  I have this in another print and LOVE it! Mariposa is definitely my favorite print from this season.  I may have to get this one for my back-up.  Only $38!

Market Bag in You Gotta Regatta.  I have two market bags and use them pretty regularly .  I think that I could even use this to carry all my work stuff around in. $10

Sullivan Belt in white.  I have this in the natural color and already love it! $38

This is the one I have! $38

Drew Sunglasses.  I love anything tortoise shell.  My husband hates anything tortoise shell, lol.  $75

Paley Sunglasses.  I love an aviator- so classic! $150

My shelves still aren't done but I can't complain too much because I told my husband about the blog and he can read what I write about him now.  However, he is putting a new light fixture with a fan in our bathroom which is awesome because the ceiling will probably start falling off soon if we don't get a fan soon.  And, it's really cool that he can do things like wire a light and fan without having to call someone to do it and pay a ton of money.  But, I can't wait till my shoe shelve are done because I have a ton of shoes!

EVIDENCE:

I counted about 70 pairs plus I have a bunch of sandals that are in a pull out drawer in my closet.  Also, I finally took some picutres of my closet.  All of the shoe pictures except the last one were in the closet.  It has hardwood floors but the people who lived here before us (among other questionable design projects) decided to paint them.  Apparently, you can't just paint a floor unless you use special paint and do a lot of sanding and stuff and as you can see in the pictures they did not do that.  Anyway, here are some more of the closet.  My husband pretty much made the whole thing.

My cats usually run from the camera but they were photogenic today

After the shoe shelves go up I plan on moving most of these bags to  the book shelves holding shoes now.

so sorry

I swear I'm not just a slacker.  I got back from vacation and my computer wouldn't turn on.  It's old.  I got it the summer before I started college.  I love it and I'm sad but I think it's time to move on, and for some reason my husband really wants me to get one of those little netbooks so I think I'm going to get this one:

It's pink and pretty cheap and the husband's sister has one that's the same but boring black and she loves it.  She drops it all the time and it's still going strong.

Ok, so on to more important news... I got some cute things on vacation in Charleston and some great deals!

I got this shirt for like $28 which is about half off and it's cuter on than this picture makes it look

same story with this one

I can't get a good image of this one, and even though my computer is now working.  My camera is still not charged.  BUT!!! I got this one for $17 and it's darling! I love it! I can't wait till spring to wear it.

I got some other cute things but it's been close to a month now so I can't remember a single one of them.

In other news:  my husband is awesome!  He's making my shoe shelves today after they are complete I will try to get my camera working and then I'll post pictures.  My closet is awesome; my husband made it for me out of what should have been a bedroom or something.

Also, he got me this really cute purse that I've been wanting for Valentine's Day and a massage!

It's this one but in "British Tan"

My husband keeps almost catching me blogging so I'm done for today.  Also, I plugged in my camera so I can take pictures next time!

things i can't live without

I guess I should have mentioned yesterday in my first post that my style is preppy.  I love Lilly Pulitzer; it's more than that really.  I am OBSESSED with Lilly Pulitzer.

I had a Lilly Pulitzer wedding.

I have a Lilly Pulitzer bike.

I have a Lilly Pulitzer closet, but for some reason I can't find the pictures of it and it's kind of a mess right now since my husband is about to put me some new shelves in.  Anyway, if it's Lilly I have it I have all sorts of stuff with the tags still on because I have no where to wear it but it was Lilly so I bought it.

Anyway, along with Lilly there are a few other things I absolutely cannot live without.

Rainbow flip flops.  This is what that looked like when I bought them

And this is what they look like now.  I've had the same pair for 6 years and I think they are pretty much at the perfect state of worn-in right now.

My minnetonka moccasins.  How they looked new:

And now:

Ok, non-clothing things.

My robot.  His name is Rupert; my life would not be complete without him.
And my kindle!

That's all I can think of right now, but there are soooooo many more things.

too much information

I am a terrible writer.  That's why I'm not telling anyone I actually know that I have a blog.

That's is the most important thing to know about this blog is that I cannot write.  I don't understand commas, I don't know the difference in who and whom, I'm not sure what a preposition is just that it should never end the sentence, and I am in no way eloquent.  My goal in writing (and speaking) is to communicate my ideas.

That being said I guess I should say what this blog is about.  Clothes- that's pretty much what I want to talk about.  Shoes, bags, and products are some other things that I love.  It's not really that I'm that shallow; it's just that if I talk about my job I'm breaking HIPPA laws (psych/pediatric nurse); if I talk about my relationships with people then it doesn't really matter to people who don't know them or me and since I don't intend to tell anyone I know that I'm writing a blog then no one here cares.  That's not to say that I will never talk about things that aren't related to purchases.

Anyhow, just a few things about me to set the backdrop for the things I'll talk about:
1. In 2011 I got engaged, graduated college, got my first real job, got married and moved into my house.  Adulthood hit me all at once.
2. I already said that I'm a nurse for a residential facility that is for child psych.  I love it.
3. I love stuff! I love clothes-lots of them.  TOO MUCH IS NEVER ENOUGH
4. I'm starting this blog in the middle of the night because earlier when I was reading the daily posts from the 11 blogs that I read religiously my husband said "You should write a fashion blog" and it's all I've been able to think about since then.
5. I have 2 cats who are my kids for now.  Actually, I have a cat and my husband has a crazy demon feline but I love them both.
6. My best friends are my family.  My mom and I do everything together.  I talk to her on the phone around 3 times a day and we text constantly.  My brother and I have always been friends; we never fought like other siblings I know.  He's one of the smartest people I know and I go to him with lots of questions; sometimes I feel like he is the oldest not me.  My dad is the other smartest person I know.  He is one of the most genuinely kind people I know.  My husband is amazing- he's smart and funny and nice and selfless and he teaches me things everyday without making me feel dumb.
